Jio Speed Test

Check Your Jio 5G, JioFiber & 4G Connection

Reliance Jio is India's largest telecom operator with over 450 million subscribers. Whether you're on Jio 5G, JioFiber broadband or Jio 4G LTE, this test measures your real-world connection speed — not just what Jio advertises. Run the test to see your actual download speed, upload speed and latency right now.

Tips to Improve Your Jio Speed Test
Restart your Jio router or phone (toggle Airplane mode) before testing for the most accurate result.
For JioFiber, connect via ethernet cable directly to the router — WiFi adds overhead.
Jio 5G is currently available in select cities. Check the Jio app to confirm 5G coverage at your location.
If your JioFiber speed is far below your plan, log in to my.jio.com and check for service alerts or a line fault.
Jio network peaks between 8 PM–11 PM. Run the test at different times to identify congestion.

Jio Speed Test – FAQ

Common questions about jio speed test

What is a good Jio 5G speed?

A good Jio 5G speed is 100–400 Mbps download in real-world conditions. Jio's 5G peak theoretical speeds exceed 1 Gbps on standalone (SA) 5G, but typical speeds depend on distance from the tower, network load, and your device's 5G modem. Above 100 Mbps is excellent for any household usage.

Why is my Jio speed slow even with full bars?

Full signal bars measure signal strength, not speed. Slow speeds with full Jio bars usually indicate network congestion (too many users on the same cell tower), ISP-side throttling after FUP limits, or your phone connecting to an overloaded 4G band instead of 5G. Try toggling Airplane mode to reconnect to a less congested cell.

How do I check if JioFiber is working properly?

Connect a device directly to your JioFiber ONT/router via ethernet, then run this speed test. If the result matches your plan speed, the issue is your WiFi. If it's still slow via ethernet, call Jio 198 or raise a complaint in the MyJio app.

What is Jio's FUP (Fair Usage Policy)?

JioFiber plans have a daily or monthly FUP data limit. Once exceeded, speeds are throttled to 1–5 Mbps until the next billing cycle. Check your data usage in the MyJio app under the "My Plan" section.
