Why is my BSNL FTTH speed slow?

Common causes include a faulty ONT (optical network terminal) connection, damaged fiber cable to your premises, an overloaded BSNL DSLAM or OLT at the exchange, or router WiFi interference. First test via ethernet. If still slow, call BSNL 1500 to report a line fault — fiber issues are usually resolved within 24–48 hours.

Does BSNL have data caps?

BSNL FTTH plans have a daily FUP (Fair Usage Policy) data limit. Once the FUP is exhausted, speeds are reduced to 2 Mbps for the rest of the day and reset at midnight. Check your daily usage in the BSNL Self Care portal at selfcare.bsnl.co.in.
